Introducing ZRS Architekten Ingenieure

ZRS Architekten Ingenieure was founded in 2003 as an integrated design and engineering partnership in Berlin. The two firms ZRS Architekten GvA mbH and ZRS Ingenieure GmbH provide a large range of services including architecture, structural engineering, building certification, sustainability consultation, specialist assessments, material development and testing as well as academic work in the form of research projects and teaching. 

Activities of ZRS Architekten encompass the complete spectrum of architectural services throughout all work stages (LP 1-9 HOAI and FIDIC). Using a wide-ranging expertise, ZRS develops innovative and efficient solutions for projects that use resources responsibly and address a growing worldwide awareness to pursue healthy and environmentally conscious architecture. 

As part of the GreeNest ecosystem, practical solutions for ZeB-buildings will be developed and tested. ZRS will primarily work on a prefabricated external wall system, focusing on resource efficient and circular construction, exploring the potential of waste wood. The wall system will be implemented and demonstrated within a student housing project in Berlin.
