Introducing National Technical University of Athens

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is one of Europe’s leading engineering institutions, founded in 1837. With a focus on research and education in science and technology, NTUA is known for its rigorous academic programs and cutting-edge research. NTUA consistently ranks among the top technological universities globally, offering multidisciplinary expertise across nine schools. It has been instrumental in Greece’s pre-war development and post-war reconstruction, and continues to produce engineers who lead in both national and international markets.

Role in the project

In NTUA serves as the coordinator of the GreeNest project, overseeing various technical and managerial aspects. NTUA’s School of Mechanical Engineering leads the Build-Up of the GreeNest Digital Framework and component taxonomy. Additionally, NTUA manages the demonstration and validation of the GreeNest ecosystem. The institution's leadership ensures the project's technical quality, administrative management, and alignment with European Commission standards.
